Serve Happiness Foundation SEHFOU (represented by the Director General Mr. Fokwa Festus Tah) was honoured to participate at the Global Refugee Forum (GRF) in Geneva as one of the 70 selected Refugee Experts in the world including heads of states, government leaders, and representatives from the private sector, civil society and advisory boards . The Global Refugee Forum 2023 took place from 11 to 15 December in Geneva, Switzerland.
The 2023 Forum was co-convened by five States – Colombia, France, Japan, Jordan, and Uganda, and co-hosted by the Government of Switzerland and UNHCR.
The worlds largest international gathering on refugees, designed to support the practical implementation of the objectives set out in the Global Compact on Refugees.
The objectives of this gathering were,
To Ease pressures on host countries, enhance refugee self-reliance, increase access to third-country solutions and improve conditions in countries of origin.
These outcomes offer a source of hope to the more than 114 million refugees displaced worldwide as per UNHCR records.
However, it is the actual implementation of these outcomes that will make a real difference to the lives of those who are in desperate need. Now more than ever we must come together and play our part in implementing actions for our forcibly displaced population in Cameroon. The real work starts now.
